![]() Don Bornhorst Eastern Kentucky '87 Senior VP of Delta Connect - A leader in the airline industry guided by Phi Delta Theta's principles
In October of 2007, Delta Air Lines appointed Brother Don Bornhorst Eastern Kentucky '87 as Senior Vice President of Delta Connection. Within this role, Bornhorst oversees the day-to-day operations of nine of Delta's partner airlines and leads efforts to ensure Delta Connection service is seamless with mainline operations.
Bornhorst, a 16-year industry veteran, most recently served as Comair’s president after working in every major operating group at Comair. His entry into the airline industry was a natural move as he grew up on land since covered by a Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport's runway, not far from Comair's headquarters in Erlanger, Ky. Bornhorst joined Comair in 1991 after working as a consultant for a financial professional services firm. Before becoming president, he served as Comair’s chief financial officer, vice president of Information Systems and senior vice president of Customers with oversight of Customer Services and In-flight. This winter, Brother Bornhorst joined Phi Delts from across North Ameica in St. Louis for the Fraternity's annual winter conferences. Speaking during the opening night of the Presidents Leadership Conference and Recruitment Boot Camp, Don passed along a message to more than 300 Phis called "Leading with Principles." During the speech, Brother Bornhorst dissected Morrison's philosophy, "To do what ought to be done, but would not have been done, I thought to be my duty", and related it to his life and career. |
