2012 Annual Report of the Phi Delta Theta Foundation
Dollars increase 80% and donors increase 13%

Thank You! In 2012, the Phi Delta Theta Foundation received $3.4 million from students, alumni, parents, and friends of the Fraternity from 3,706 donors. This is an 80% increase in dollars and a 13% increase in donors. To say we have momentum is an understatement! Here are the key points of 2012 momentum:
  • 25% growth in the endowment, bringing the total to $10 million.
  • 48% growth in annual fund dollars for a total of $926,000.
  • 33% growth in Trustees Roundtable from 200 to 300 members.
  • Received $2 million estate gift, the largest in Phi Delta Theta history.
  • $49,000 raised through the Knights of Pallas --- the most in that program’s history.
Nothing is more vital to the growth of the Foundation than to recognize those who faithfully give of their time, talents and funds because they believe in the work of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Again, thank you.

Foundation Announces the Largest Gift in Phi Delt History

The Phi Delta Theta Foundation recently received the largest gift in Phi Delt history from Maurice, Dickinson ’30 and Dorothea Shaffer. The gift was first announced at the General Officers Conference on February 2, 2013 in San Diego, California.

The generosity of the Shaffers will fund at least 25 Whole Man Scholarships, bringing that total to 50 and will help our youngest members become the greatest version of themselves for many years to come.

Thank you, Maurice and Dorothea.  You have exemplified the Fraternity motto, “We enjoy life by the help and society of others.”

make_a_gift.jpgBuilding on the Bond: For more than 50 years the Foundation has strengthened men for life. Thanks to Phi Delta Theta, our younger Phis are ready to move into leadership roles wherever they go. And, they will take Phi Delta Theta, and the values and ethics they developed as members, with them.
